-BLEACH ANIME-

Episode 001 Two monsters shoot down from the night sky and land sinisterly on the dark ground. A mysterious woman standing atop a telephone pole overlooking a town. She speaks nothing more than to explain that she senses strong spiritual power. The episode cuts to day time and an orange haired youth dressed in a school uniform and carrying a book bag, confronting five guys, one of which, is already on the ground. Apparently, the high school student is angered by the knocked over vase and flowers that were an offering to someone who had died there. Although faced with 4 more guys, the boy cares not and stomps an unlucky punk's face into the street. After asking them a few questions, and punishing them physically for each right answer, the five boys are scared away and in the opposite direction. The orange-haired turns to a ghost girl and promises that he will bring her fresh flowers the following day. After this inquisitive observation of him being able to see ghosts, a monologue occurs in which the boy tells us who he is. His name is Kurosaki Ichigo and he is a 15 year old high school student.

4 out of 4 people found the following comment useful:- The Sports Anim¨¦ to End all Sports Anim¨¦s, 28 December 2005 Author: superpogimax from United States
Hajime No Ippo (Knockout in Philippines and Fighting Spirit here in the US)is a must for all sports fans. Heck, I recommend this series to anyone. If you like sports (especially boxing), you will love the authenticity in which the animators present the boxing concepts and realism, not to mention the gradual development of the protagonist, Ippo Makunouchi. In addition, all the other characters are well-developed, so well-developed that you might even cheer for the guy Ippo is fighting. If you just like anim¨¦ in general, this series has superior animation. You could feel the punches grinding on the boxer's bodies. If you are a newcomer, fear not. This series is one of the funniest anim¨¦s ever. This is an overall superior anim¨¦. If you never watched anim¨¦ in your life, or just looking for a good series to watch, this is it.

more will be added soon

gundam wing

Here it is, sports fans, the original "Mobile Suit Gundam"; accept no substitutes. Young Amaro Ray finds himself in the middle of a war, and in the cockpit of the Earth Federation's most advance secret weapon. Naturally, since he's a genius (and his dad designed the Gundam), he quickly figures out how to operate it, saving his colony from destruction by the Principality of Zeon. Naturally, since he's the only one who knows how to work the darn thing, he is quickly drafted into the Earth Federation Army (or Navy, whatever). Over the course of 42 episodes (the first 5 of which are on this DVD), Amaro and his companions must fight for survival against overwhelming odds, uncertain supply lines, and the constant attacks of the "Red Comet", Char Aznable, the Zeons' ace pilot. Amaro establishes the now-familiar Gundam theme of "young rookie pilot makes good", while Char establishes a similar theme of "blond bad guys (with cool nicknames) wearing masks". Overall, this is a high-quality series that is more focused on storytelling than merchandising, and all of the discs have great Special Features. My rating: 10/10
gundam wing character full profiles

Name: Dou Maxwell
Gender: Male
Weight: 42 kg
Age: 15
Height: 5'6"
Nationality: American
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Family: In the show they never mention any family so i guess he is an orpan...
Home: L 2 Colony
Gundam: Deathscythe and the Deathscythe HELL
Occupation: mechanic and salvage operations, worked in field crops, and pilot
Mobile Suit (MS): Gundam Deathscythe; Gundam Deathscythe Hell
Quotes: "After all these killings today, I think I should hold a party!" "Who ever sees me goes to hell!" "Now the god of death is back you shall see his wrath" Comments: This gundam pilot is the friendliest out of the bunch. He tries to bring everything to its lighter side even when he is close to death. He often tells the other pilots to calm down and take in life. He has braided hair and always wears dark clothes. Plus Dou is my favorite person in the show he is the only normal one with no emotinal problems what so ever. Even trough they call him the god of death he is very nice

Name: Chang Wufei
Gender: Male
Weight: 46 kg
Nationality: Chinese
Hair color: Black
Eye color: Black
Family: none mentioned, but he does have a martial arts master, Ron Shirin.
Home: L 5 Colony
Mobile Suit :Shenlong Gundam; Gundam Altron
Quotes: "I'll do justice." "A warrior will only rediscover himself on the battlefield." "I am too weak to fight i am not worthy of pilot the shenlong" Comments: Wufei takes his work way too seriously. Following a strict and discipline way of life, he believes that he must "do justice" and maintain this justice in the space colonies. Wufei likes to be by himself, and prefers to fight alone. He doesn't fight alongside others unless he has to. There is a certain "cool" about Wufei, yet he lacks the charisma of Heero... Wufei is also a martial arts expert and he often incorporated some of these moves when he pilots his MS. He also has a long feud with Treize Khushrenada, because Treize beat Wefei easily in there first duel but Wefei at last beat Treize(because Treize gave up).

Name: Heero Yuy
Gender: Male
Weight: 45 kg
Nationality: Japanese
Height:165
Hair color: Brown
Eye color:Prussian blue
Family: none; but his mentor and coach, is Dr J
Home: L 1 Colony
Occupation: none; the odd job now and then
Mobile Suit (MS):Wing Gundam; Wing Gundam Zero
Quotes: "Mission accomplished......" "I will kill you...." Comments: Heero Yuy, is the protagonist of the series. If you want a description of him, these words immediately come up: "suicidal", "unemotional", "anti-social", "blunt" & "callous" Heero must have a very disturbed childhood as he is one messed up guy. Heero displays little if any emotions. He is obsessed with completing his "mission", stopping at nothing to achieve his mission objective, whatever it happens to be. This is why he is described as "The Perfect Soldier", someone who only has the mission in his brain, free of impediments such as "emotions", "feelings" and "trust". Heero is the ultimate pilot, and those fans who are familar with the original Gundam series will draw parallels between him and the original Amuro Ray in terms of Mobile suit-Piloting skills. Although there is no "NEWTYPES" in Gundam Wing, Heero's intergration with the ZERO SYSTEM appears to give him NEWTYPE abilities... just like Amuro. Heero's control over the 2 Wing Gundams is quite extraordinary. As the series progress, the audience can sense a gradual change in Heero. A transition from the original cold-hearted fighting machine to a more caring and affectionate person, mainly caused by Relena Peacecraft. Don't be confused though, Heero is still highly unsociable and you don't want to piss him off. There the end you see alittle emosion in him when he gives Relena a present.

Name: Trowa Barton
Age: about16
Gender: Male
Height:160 cm
Weight: 45 kg
Nationality: unknown!?
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Black/Brown
Family: unknown?!... or so we thought until ENDLESS WALTZ came around....
Home: L 3 Colony
Occupation: works as a clown in the circus
Mobile Suit: Heavyarms
Quotes: "When ever I fight, I lock myself away from any human emotions." ".......................... yes..................." Comments: Trowa is the mystery man of the series. Nothing is known about his past, and he is always silent. However whenever he speaks, there will always a cryptic or a deeper meaning to his words. Don't let the clown appearance fool you, Trowa is probably the most silent person in the universe. He performs as an acrobat and as a clown in the circus as a part-time job. Trowa disappears and loses his memory in the middle of the series making him more of a mystery.... When the sequel Endless waltz came, the mystery of Trowa Barton is disclosed if i where you i whould grab the endless waltz video and get watching.

Name:Quatre Raberba Winner
Gender:Male
Weight: 41 kg
Nationality: Arabic
Hair color: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Family: a father and his 29 sisters his fathers name is Mr.Winner i forgot first name they never really tell you the name of all his sisters.
Home: L 4 Colony
Occupation: He is the heir to the Winner Family assets, so guess what he is rich and doesn't work.
Mobile Suit: Gundam Sandrock
Quotes: "I'm sorry, but I have to kill you..." Comments: Quatre is the love everyone in the world kind of guy. He is the heir to the Winner family assets and his father is very infulential in politics. Coming from a rich and happy childhood, it totally contrasts with the rest of the Gundam boys. He has servants and loyal troops that will unconditionally sacrifice their own lives to protect their master. Quatre is a loving and caring person, he is often reluctant to kill, and when he does kill someone, he apologizes for his actions. He is the only gundam pilot in the series that dresses good. Quatre brain" of the Gundam team.... as seen in the later part of the series where he was responsible for all battle strategies, attacking formations and co-ordination. Conversely, he is probably the weakest pilot out of the 5, because he has to much emotion and it gets in his way(plus in my option hardrock is the weakest gundam next to heavyarms but i will get into heayarms later).Oh yeah in the later part of the series Quatre goes crazy and builds Wing zerp to destroy all the colonies that drove his father to death.

naruto fan comment

Author: speedinblackgt2002 from United States

Last year my roommate got me hooked on watching Naruto. I had never really been a big Anime fan. Shows like DBZ and Inuyasha never really appealed to me. I had seen a few episodes of Tri-Gun and found it rather interesting but the story of Naruto is what really drew me in. The quality with which it is written is very well done. And is not centered entirely around fighting, there actually is a plot here. The story is about 3 ninjas as they progress from genin level (beginning ninjas) onward to some rather high lvl battles and their hardships along the way. Each of these characters is well described with a rich background. And each character possesses unique abilities, none of which I have found boring or pointless so far. Currently I have read all the manga and have all the Anime downloaded. It is a truly excellent series. I fear that if they do bring it to the US. that sites that provide us with the anime may not be allowed to continue providing us with the show and if it comes to US television it will be edited because they will probably intend for kids to watch it and in it's original state it is entirely inappropriate and in no way should be compared to a Saturday morning cartoon show. The different jutsus are exciting to watch and well thought out. Battles can tend to last multiple episodes but to me that does not matter, the flashbacks just add to the storyline. The quality of the actual animation which can really be seen during the fight scenes is unbelievable. They truly have some very talented artists working for them. Lastly, the music is top notch. The intro's are extremely cool and the music in the actual show is also very well done.

YuYu-hakusho

Well well. FUNimation actually went and did something decent for a change! After following this series on Adult Swim for the past few weeks, I decided it was time to go out and add Yu Yu Hakusho to my humble little collection.
Yu Yu is the story of Yusuke, a 14 year old thug who's big on cutting class, getting into scraps and generally annoying anyone he considers an authority figure. His mom is an alcoholic, and he generally has no real friends. While walking through town one day, he notices a boy about to be hit by a car. He selflessly throws himself at the boy, knocking him out of the way only to lose his own life.

But, as Yusuke's luck would have it, he died senslessly. Botan (pretty much the Grim Reaper, only with blue hair, a hot body and riding an oar for some reason) meets him and tells him that the boy would have survived anyway. And now, since they weren't expecting him in the Spirit World, they have to figure out what to do with him.,

Thus is the start of Yusuke's interesting adventure. But what good could an unlikely hero be without friends? There's Keiko, the class representative who loves Yusuke very much, but is a little too proud to say so. Kuwabara is Yusuke's top rival at school. Although he's not terribly bright and usually loses fights, he has a good heart and adheres to a strict honor code. Yusuke's new boss, Koenma, is the son of the Spirit World's King. Don't let the todler body and pacifier fool you, as he's 700 years old and has a knack for delegating tough assignments. And of course Botan, who I mentioned earlier.

The disc itself is simple and attractive. The video quality is well above average, but isn't along the lines of a Miazaki film. Sound in both languages is up to my standards, and you have your choice of English Dub Subtitles (for the hearing impaired, follows the FUNimation dub script) or literal Japanese translation. Menus and nifty looking and are easily navigated. While the disc lacks any real special features, it does give a good general overview of the characters and adds a little bit of zing to the whole mix. Value wise, I'd say it's worth what I paid. Four episodes keep you happy for over an hour and a half, no complaints there.

Bottom line, this is a fun new series. I was interested in it after hearing Sean Schemmel (the voice of Goku, Nail and King Kai on DBZ) talk about it at Katsucon this past February. Go snag this one, folks. A refreshing addition to any collection!

GREED ISLAND

Each player in Greed Island is given a card book when they start, that they can call or dismiss just by saying the word "book". Anything in the game world (treasure, plants, animals, etc.) can be turned into a card if certain conditions are met, and these cards can subsequently be permanently turned back into the original object, or stored in a player's book. An object's card looks like a trading card game card, with a picture of the object and a short description of it. Additionally, there are spell cards which are only available from other players or from shops on Greed Island, which cast spells when they're used, like showing you the contents of another player's book, teleporting you to a specific city, teleporting you out of the game, etc. [edit] Cards Among the thousands of different cards that can potentially be made out of objects, won in competitions and minigames or bought at stores, there are 100 "fixed slot" cards (000-099) which are the only cards that will fit in their corresponding "fixed slots" at the back of each player's book. Once a player has acquired all 100 "fixed slot" cards, (s)he wins the game. Here are some of the cards that are in Greed Island: Card List Part 1 Card List Part 2 Card List Part 3 Card List Part 4 There are two spells you can use while in possession of the ring: "Book" ---- causes the binder to appear "Gain" ---- changes a card into an object to use [edit] Rules Cards must be stored in the binder, or else they will turn back into an object after 1 minute. As with the earlier condition of not being able to have an object in card state twice, the object cannot be transformed back. The card's difficulty to be found is indicated by a letter : S A B C D E F G H. S being the hardest to find and H being the easiest. The letter is followed by a number, indicating the amount of cards in circulation at the moment. The lower the number, the rarer the card is. Also, if a person acquires an object, but the card number limit is reached, the object cannot be converted into a card. For example: suppose a card's limit is 4 cards and there are already 4 people in the game who own the card, then the next person who acquires the object corresponding to the card cannot change the object into a card. Finally, if a person dies in the game, the ring and all their card data will disappear. There are many spell cards in the game, such as those for attack/defense. However, no spell exists to kill or maim. [edit] Discoveries about Greed Island Before you enter the game, you are given a memory card, then, you use your nen to enter the game. However, as Shalnark deduced, just hatsu is not enough to allow a person to leave the real world and enter a virtual one (in order to do this, a person's body and soul must separate, but hatsu alone cannot do this), thus, it is only enough to teleport a person from one part of the world to another. So, in reality, they are on an island in reality. As with other fictitious games like the ones played in Yu-Gi-Oh!, there has been enough interest in Greed Island among fans of Hunter ¡Á Hunter that real renditions of the game have been produced for the PlayStation 2 and the Game Boy Advance. Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greed_Island" this one is a scan from gon's fight scene w/ razor
